If you're transposing that on top of the other pic as is, I don't think that's particularly accurate.

The DS3 is slightly smaller in the photo than on the 'slim' box.

Using the DS3 and independently using the width of the disc drive (12cm), it ends up more like this:



I'm fairly confident about those dimensions since they work out the same, like I say, if using DS3 dimensions or the drive's dimensions.

If your measurements are accurate, that's 34.9% smaller from the top. Not including how much thinner it'll be as well.

It's not going to be as small as the Wii.

It doesn't even seem to be shiny :(

It looks very cheap to me and the more I read about a slim PS3 and the more I see pictures of it the less I think Sony would consider charging money for what looks like the cheapest bit of plastic they could find. I love the PS3 the way it is - In my opinion its the most stylish console of this generation

I don't understand why people are hating so much on the look of this thing, it looks fine. Hardly as stylish or pretty as the phat one, but still nice looking.

Now I just hope we will be seeing more of it at E3 (TGS is acceptable as well).

I initially dismissed this as a complete fake, making the lettering like the PS1 slim font seems like the obvious fake to me, and I am shocked how this has spread so far. I am entirely convinced that this is false, but if it is not, my family will need another PS3 this holiday anyway...
