And (aside from Mario All Stars) this doesn't even include the updated remakes (Twin Snakes, Conker: Live and Reloaded).  Is there something wrong with me?  Why do I buy the exact same experience repeatedly?  More importantly, what are some games that were so good that you had to buy them twice?

Trine, I guess. I got for free through ps+ a few years ago, but decided to buy it again on steam, because it was around £1. I never replay games, but for that price, I couldn't resist.

Nearly every Final Fantasy I've purchased twice.

Demon souls I brought twice, EU and US version.

Probably others can't think of them right now.

Metal Gear Solid Playstation 1 (Double Disk)..............

Resident Evil 4. PS2->PS3, soon to be a third time over steam
MGS3. PS2->PSV
I hated this game but, SOCOM Confrontation. My brother convinced me to give a second shot... and then a third.
