There's nothing "wrong" with it, but:

1) every console has unreleased games, but people tend to only list the unreleased games coming out on their favorite console, as if the others will stop getting new games.

2) it's difficult to know the quality of an unreleased game (see "Lair").

3) unreleased games can (potentially) come out on multiple consoles, or not come out on the console people assumed it would be on.

4) unreleased games can be delayed. if the world ends, you die, you get too busy to play games, your console dies, or the company goes out of business, you may never actually get to enjoy playing those unreleased games you are so excited about.

I hate unreleased games cause like you said above. You never know whats going to happen to those games. I never get my hopes high for FFXIII cause a no official release date like for example December 24, 2007. I need a date like that for me to purchase the game. So if I get a TBA or sometime in Q1 2008. I say f*ck that I'm moving on. Until I see a listing date. Its not going on my must-have list. And currently PS3 sucks with games. But when fans add those games to the list it makes the list look awesome.

Don't forget about Unreal, GT5Prologue and Ratchet... the real question is which games suits you better. Personally I'm aware of all great X360's  games but I've still picked PS3 because Sony's line-up in my opinion is better than MS's. Planty great games on both platforms (COD4 etc.)


Well thats good to here that a Sony fanboy said that PS3 games are better than the 360 lineup this coming holiday season. Just adding in that 360 games will have better sales then the PS3 game sales combined.

the REAL list so far :

PS3 : Unchartred + GT5prologue + Ratchet + Eye of Judgement

vs

Xbox360 PGR4 + Halo3 + MAss Effect + Lost Odyssey

And, YES, again, based on game released, or released this year, Xbox360 is in front.
But i m sure you will agree, we don't buy a console just for Xmas ?
It is why you have to keep in mind the upcoming line-up 2008 ==> PS3.

What's your point? I'm sure we can find few N-fanboys who like Wii line-up more than X360 and PS3 combined. Regards sales. MS with all this awesome figures didn't earn single cent on X360 brand so hold your horses with excitement.

Not quite true. The average score yes, is indeed higher on PS3 than the Wii because the latter has many crappy games; nevertheless, Wii has more AAA titles than PS3 (released so fat)

Wii : Legend of Zelda, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4

PS3 : Oblivion, Virtua Fighter, Ninja Gaiden Sigma (the only exclusive)

Not to mention Wii AAA games are exclusives.

The Wii fans would argue that the VC has more AAA games then any system out ;) Let's face it though... all three systems are fun to play. As long as you're happy, don't insult everyone else by pushing your console on them.

I got my premium last week and I´m very happy with it, it was an older model from ebay so I had a better fan but in it, now it runs nice and quite while still beeing cool. The game lineup is great, I know lots of games are shooters but there are many different types and also great other games out and still coming. I don´t have an HD TV but my big old monitor is just great for it.

I don´t get where all the Halo hate is coming from, I don´t like many great games like the FF series, still I know those are good games, maybe its all the adds and hype in the U.S. that we don´t get, still its a great game and I´ll have my fun. Still  have to get through Bioshock and Gears of War first :)

@kber81 Then I could add WarioWare, Mercury Meltdown Revolution etc. We are talking only big-name beyond excellent games as objectively as anyone can. If metacritics is any measure, Wii has 2 games over 90 whereas PS3 1 and that is multiplatform. All I'm trying to say is that although Wii has more generally most acclaimed games. PS3 has much more above mediocre games. I'm quite sure, at least for 2008, quality will be on PS3's side although the Wii too will have some gems.

dude everyone shup up about the games. This guy clearly likes the Xbox360 games. Metascore be damned, this is about one person's decision to buy an Xbox360. So stop trying to convince him to buy a different console. He wants one console because he likes the games, is it really that hard to understand?

As for the actual topic at hand, I'm pretty sure the falcon hasn't been rolled out yet. I'd be more worried about the disc drive though, those things are noisy and apparently can scratch discs. If your xbox RROD's you can get it replaced for three years.

I'd wait until next year to buy an Xbox, personally. It should be cheaper by then too.
