Why does it have to be a terrible list, just because you disagree with it?
I found it to be a really good list, even though I didn't agree with everything on it. Obviously, there is always personal preference and experience involved in making a list. This one actually took from most parts of the console history and went for at least some out of the box thinking. Reasons for placement on the list was pretty well drawn up, and there was no sign of fanboism, obvious bias or glossed over parties.
I dislike people that bash lists because they do not conform to their personal ideals or opinions. EVERYONE has different opinions, no two (long enough) lists will ever look alike. If you want to attack a list, attack underlying assumptions, explenations or factual faults, not opinions. Don't make the internet look bad.
Personally, I really disliked the Megadrive controller. That might be because I didn't own a Megadrive at the time though. But I still have horrible memories of them. I also find the WiiMote to be an absolute joy to use, more precise than I could ever have imagined it to before using it for the first time, and it's a joy to not have both your hands stuck on the controller at all times.

That's great that you dislike people that bash lists because they do not conform to their ideals or opinions, because I dislike people who fail to read. I never stated the list was terrible as a fact, I stated that it was my opinion. So it's kind of ironic that you felt the need to attack my personal opinion because you disagreed with my disagreeing of another opinion. :P
Honestly though, for a website like this I feel it's a bad list because it does exactly the opposite of what I feel journalists should be doing. Instead of rating controllers based on what they accomplished and brought to the table, the journalist instead makes a subjective list entirely off of his own opinion. I personally don't like the wii's controller much, but at the same time what other controller has single handedly drove a console to beating out the competition so severely and on to become one of the best selling consoles of all time? For me, that would have been a perfect and acceptable view for a journalist. But it's nothing more really then one person's list of favorite controllers that fit his hands and meet his needs. Of course a lot of people are going to disagree when he's so subjective. And it could be argued that at least some fanboyism may have been involved, afterall the 360 controller placed second on a 360 site when it has an awful d-pad, that like I said, makes an entire genre of gaming difficult. The original xbox controller was better suited to all games and therefor objectively should be a better choice then the 360 controller.
