Forums - Gaming - What's up with people in their 40s,50s and 60s not playing core videogames?

I mean.. 'core videogames' has been around since the 70s. Why aren't they all gamers by now?

They 'waste' their time watching many of the 'shallow' shows on tv, so why don't they just enjoy some core digital interactive entertainment. It's much more interesting. It requires some effort (just like reading a good book), but it's worth it in the end. Why are so many of them sceptical and provoked by the concept of playing some quality core videogames? :/

Cool, but he is the exception to the rule.

A lot of people in their 40's do. You just don't realize it. I am in my 30's and plenty of my "older" friends play them.

It could be because most core games are targeted at teenagers.
