Forums - Nintendo - CoD Modern Warfare2 for Wii?

u know it'll funny and sad if activision releases mw2 next year and not the new one(i.e. cod7).

even if mw1 is old, i'm really interested to see how far they will take it for the wii.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will release next year for Wii completing with Call Of Duty 7.

Well... that's kind of what I've been saying. MW2 would be next year and then Treyarch's next CoD.

Don't start calling it CoD7, because it is not. Just like how MW2 is not CoD6, and how WaW is not CoD5. If anything, MW2 should be CoD5 since it is a direct sequel to CoD4.

There's been about 12 CoD games, so I don't know where people are pulling these numbers from all the time.

Sorry but that just irks me strange.

From the actual games. There were about 4 or 5 side games before the official Call of Duty 2 was released on the PC and 360. Then came 3 and 4. WaW isn't called CoD5, but it's a main series game.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Think about it this way gentlemen. Most of those people who thought MW2Wii possible thought that if it did come, it would of course be gimped. It turns out they were right. MW2 is just MW with new shit and a few new features. It will simply add to an already great formula. There is nothing game changing about it. Therefore, MW1 will simply be a weaker version of MW2. In this way, the Wii is actually getting a version of MW2, it's just gimped, but that's what we all expected anyway.

Infinity Ward hasn't even confirmed it yet.

@im sneaky - tho, your post suggests MW2 will be good. What if it fails to deliver anything impressive over MW1?

@ Bard

How dare you suggest that anything Infinity Ward touches is nothing less than AWESOME??

Its possible. The Snowmobile thing looks ok for Singleplayer but I am curious how it pans out in MP.

Whoever said the snowmobile was in MP?

Just curious.

Good point. MW1 was a clear step forward but nothing says the sequel will be much better, if at all.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

I heard on an interview that they are definitely not gonna put modern warfare 2 on the wii

I'm pretty sure that MW2 is going to come to the Wii maybe a few months after MW1 does. "Why would you release the first one" you may ask. The answer is too obvious. It's to obviously get Wii owners familiar with the franchise and the story of the game. Modern Warfare to me is a totally different franchise compared to all the other CoDs since it changed all of the mechanics of the franchise. If you don't release the first MW Wii owners will be saying "Who's Capt. Price" and "He's Dead?"

So myself and Viper are expecting MW2 for Wii maybe in early-mid 2010. They definitely won't release MW2 Wii around the same time as Treyarch's next Call of Duty title in 2010.

And no one has ever said that MW2 is "definitely" not coming to the Wii. "They just said they didn't have plans as of now." And with MW1 coming to the Wii, they "definitely" should have plans.
