Why did they can it?

They didn't, it's still in production. Seems they've done some progress lately though. Still, it's been practically dead for years and actually that's the game that came into my mind as well.

Oh, I see.

You are lucky.

8 days + The gateway 3, maybe still be released in the future (there not dead yet)

i still prefer the resident evil 4 that was released but the cancelled resident evil 4 looked amazing and was more of a survival horror game.

Im pretty sure The Getaway 3 is coming sooner or later, but im not sure about Eight Days

Reason: The Getaway is very popular in the UK , and that Sony London doesnt have anything else better to do than make it.

Same, i dont really like the new RE games as much now.

Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels comes to mind. I loved the first game and I would have loved playing a sequel even if it wasn't a point & click. But without Roy Conrad, I'd rather remember the original as a fond memory unless another voice actor can match his awesomeness.

Another game I was looking forward to was "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse". A game that focuses on four playable characters left on Earth after the Rapture and that's a really cool premise I think. It was canned when 3DO went under.

X-Com: Genesis

X-Com was too great a game to be raped by X-Com: Interceptor and X-Com: Enforcer. And to a lesser extent X-Com: Apocalypse.
