I would disagree, but it's hard to argue with someone who have a David Bowie avatar. |
I think Nintendo's characters have an undeniable charm that is unique in the gaming world (LBP probably having the only comparable characters in my mind, but with less identity). Disney on the other hand, has not only created so many great characters, but also timeless worlds of which most people are familiar with. I just cannot imagine Kingdom Hearts without the Disney 'Worlds' (pardon the pun).
OT: Interesting thing related to the avatar. I recently only learned that both Michael Jackson and Sting were also considered for 'The Labyrinth'. Can you imagine how terrible that would have been?
Considering the protags in most Nintendo games don't talk, I'd say no I'd much rather have Disney characters.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
No!
Disney is better.
I hope they will also inculde Pixar movies.

Fine dont call it Kingdom Hearts 3. Just call it a new game.

That'd be great. I kind of lost interest in the series, but that'd be a great start to rekindling it.

Because a large part of the point of the KH series is in the interaction between the Disney characters and the Square characters: Leon buying Gepetto a house in town, Cloud hiring himself out as a mercenary to Hades, Ariel sending Sora into a fit of hormonal apoplexy, and so forth.
Besides, I think Disney would get mad. Technically, they have most of the IP rights, including to all of the characters made for the series: Sora, Kairi, Riku, and so on. Without those, there is no KH, and they wouldn't let the KH original cast into the game unless the rest of Disney got in too.
And I really hope Pixar never gets in. KH is about a particular Disney aesthetic that the Pixar movies simply do not fit. This is not to insult the Pixar movies, but they just don't belong in this particular setting.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

Good point. Just as the newer Disney films (Meet the Robinson's, Bolt, etc) wouldn't fit either.
When I heard Pixar earlier, I just immediately imagined how great an 'Incredibles' level could be.
That would be horrible.

On my part, it'd be best of they stopped kidding around with a franchise as useless as KH and continue making proper RPG's instead (and, possibly, make them a little faster?).
