According to Peter Moore- Sony and Microsoft intend on getting into Motion control and making it better.

I understand why people hate the Wii-mote but at the same time without seeing the Sony's and Microsoft's answer I really have no opinion.

I doubt every thing on the 360 and PS3 will be motion control. It will hopefully just be limited to certain games where the premise of motion controls will be good. Like GOW4 would be cool whereas halo 5 would suck. I just hope they give us the choice. If you wanna play motion controls thats fine but allow me to stick to either a gamepad or Mouse & keyboard

I agree. I like the way Nintendo did Super Smash Brothers Brawl, you could play with so many controllers. The Wii-Mote, the Classic Controller, and the GC Controllers. Even on the Wii- Mote there were many ways of playing the game.

As long as the player has options I think Motion control will slowly become more acceptable. People don't like when things that they are use to are taken away from them.

I'm guessing one of the three will simply keep using the standard controls to differentiate itself
from the competition. Seems like a good tactic to me

How can you possibly misspell QWERTY? It's spelled correctly on the damn keyboard.

Maybe some are upset rather at the games rather than the waggle.

Wii has good games.  That argument is pre-historic already. 50 million people agree with me ;)

They're just pissed of because its not they're console to have something new and fresh. That's the only reason.

Know why The Conduit pisses them so bad also? Because it has better graphics than some launch games on 360. And they thought the Wii couldn't pull out that :P

But let's keep the secret between us. I'm loving the whinning.

I know the Wii has good games, but just comparably to the PS3 and 360. The Wii doesn't have the amount of titles that appeal to that group.

And no, just no. Perfect Dark Zero looks terrible and still looks better than The Conduit.

Even Black, the PS2/Xbox game, looks considerably better than The Conduit.

Video games are a form of relaxation for me. If I am forced to get up and be active to play video games, I will just find some other form of entertainment. When I get up to be active I have much better things to do.

Exactly, although some Wii games are pretty easy to play. Ex: SMG.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Any platform can have motion controls standard, so long as there is an option for standard controls and they aren't forced.

And by that I mean not forced by simply substituting shakes for button presses and tacking on other motions to replace button inputs, or forced by making the player use motion controls (ie Lair).

I imagine there would have been quite a backlash if Brawl had only remote/motion controls instead of the standard GC controls most of the hardcore players seem to favor.

But if they make the game SIMPLER and more intuitive, then most will be all for it, particularly those who don't want to have to learn a 10 button layout just to play a game.

The main advantage of making motion controls standard, is that everyone who owns the console won't have to buy extra controllers/peripherals (though there does seem to be quite the market for a ton of unnecessary plastic clip ons with the Wii platform), and developers don't have to worry about a split audience.

Light Saber battles FTW!

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Well although a little overstated, some people will definitely be disappointed. I think that, although, Wii has shown that motion sensing is the way of the future, PS360 has also shown that the PS2 styled way of playing isn't dead. Not to mention the success of the Virtual Console has shown it is not dead.

My guess is every console in the 8th generation will have a form of motion sensing but still allow for "classic" controller use. Of course I doubt they'll go for the weak combination that was the early PS3 controller. So definitely two separate controllers or a better idea haha. So they won't be left out completely but Wii and especially DS has already made the drastic changes that Sony and MS have to follow.

@Zones: I'm no fan of the conduit, but that is pretty obviously false.
