The Wii sold 740k units WW the first week of May.

At the current rythm by mid May wii sales will be down YoY, erasing the 1M+ gain it made in Q1.

April 2008 was Mario Kart and the first period were it wasn't supply constrained anymore in Others.

That's why.

Both in Others and NA there was a period of amplified sales when Nintendo started to be able to match the demand( it started earlier in 2008 in Others and a little later in NA as Nintendo took longer to provide decent stocks to US retailers)

Now that Wii are in stock at most retailers though, most customers don't feel compelled to buy one as soon as they see one on display. So now sales are going to stabilize at a much lower level... My guess is around 200k/week worlwide ( Golden Week will keep it around 250k for the next few weeks..).

its just a bad week, maybe next one too....and as we come closer to summer its gonna be even worst...

ps360 down yoy.........i think they will be both down yoy wordlwide. ps3 even more so
