Well its risky for Sony and MS right now because they have to get a console off the ground and develop software for it.

The big competition would be between software developers.

Why would I? Because there would be only a single console? Not a good reason, not today. Most games are multiplatform anyway, I prefer Sony's games, and I've also got a gaming PC. Also, I hate MS so I would think twice (or even more) before buying a console where MS is involved.

Besides, competition is good.

Competition has made Sony step up their game this year, so far it ain't looking half bad.

Some folks are complaining that ninty are becoming complacant IMO it's because they are in a league of their own so they can easily put their feet up and count the dough.
