not like it's news, but Asian people like cute looking things, you know, like big heads and small bodies, they call it "Q type" or "Q style" and they love that shit over there so don't be surprised if they love Little King's Story over there too. btw anybody else notice the only western game on that list was GTA4? o_O

Oh, I fully understand why these games won those awards.  Famitsu gave all those games some of their highest scores in 2008.  However, I was just pointing out that now adays the difference between getting an 'award' and being 'the most popular' usually isn't that different.

In this case however, Famitsu is a type of influence on popularity over there.

Famitsu has always been like this. They have been criticized about this for many years giving higher scores to go along with what's popular or what everyone wants to buy. (A Final Fantasy will never go below a 30)

Not even. Tales of Vesperia is STILL the best JRPG this gen.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
