Hah, why not? Its popular series in Japan.
Wii is popular on Japan.
Not all Wii users have played Monster Hunter before on PSP/PS2.

MHG is exceeding my expectations. I would have thought 100k first week. Should have some decent legs this close to Golden Week.

Definitely bodes well for MH3, cause it's clear that some of the PSP fanbase is already switching to Wii, otherwise there's no chance in hell it could outsell the original PS2 game first week.

MH3 should be at least 3x as big as MHG, so a 300k first day is very possible.

TBH,MHG sales much higher than i expect even i'm a MH fanboy.

I not even think it'll reach 100k first week ,so this's really good news for me. :D

This really show that MH veteran will always follow this game no matter where it go.XD

Its just a port of another version of the game basically, Essentially how ever much this ends up selling by the time MH3 releases that is the min, that MH3 will sell in Japan.

Killzone 2 started as expected. It matched Resistance 2 first day and beat PS3 CoD4 (14k first day). FPS actually have some legs in Japan, R2 is at 90k and CoD4 at 130k (45k and 114k in Famitsu).

Also very good result MHG. It seems it was a wise decision to put MH3 on Wii not PS3.
