im gonna pull a john lucas, this will be the only week ever that the wii will be under 30k (according to MC that is).

DS is under 80k and you're talking about the Wii?
I think one of the reasons for such low numbers is the elections in Japan and the opening of schools; finally anticipation of PSP new model and lack of titles overall.

Next week when the PSP 2000 comes the system has a shot to take the crown, but probably not this week. I just hope both systems shoot up this week with their two big games, anything to break this lull in Japanese hardware sales. It may be a weak period of the year for sales in Japan, but this is getting rediculous. The Wii and PS3 I doubt will get any major boosts anytime soon. I don't think Japan is falling back into another video game recession, but if it stays like this for long I'd have to start wondaring.

Basically the SONY consoles seem to be enduring, with PSP up next week we could see SONY taking control of overall hardware since what 2 years

lets say Ps3 + Ps2 stay steady on 15 K = 30K

PSP lets say 77,777 + is definite

lets add the ususa 15K of psp to that

77 + 15 = 92K + 30K = 122K SONY TOTAL

ninty lets say 80K (DS) + 40K (WII) = 120K

your right it will be very close, i think SONY will slightly get the edge because of a 3rd console in the mix
