Ali - Nielsen corrected their report like 2 weeks ago, with the Wii getting the most playtime, only beaten by PS2 (not PS3)

Actually I'm pretty sure the latest NIELSEN report showed the Wii got the least time of all 3 consoles.

It only was on top for most played console when you factored the fact that there were a lot more Wii than Xbox360 or PS3...

Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble, but Neilson first released a misprint. They corrected it, and the Wii was the most played current gen system.

The link in Ali's post is to the corrected report. The Wii does have the lowest play-time per console, but not to the extent that was reported. And not nearly to the extent that Sony should publicly say they they are in our closets.

^ yup, I read his link afterwards. Though there is a discrepancy between the 2 links. Check the end of each article - Gamasutra says the report says Wii owners play less consistently, Edge says XB360 and Wii user minutes are trending upwards.

ok, we got it, we know some of you have a Wii and do not use it

btw, the only reason i turn my Ps3 on is to watch a movie or Prison Break, but i don't repeat this in every single thread, for god's sake!

Guess you should actually read that research?  LOL. The Wii better have the most gross playtime out of all consoles.  With how significant amount of a console lead it has. The numbers clearly show a direct trend that my personal experience can agree with. A lot of people own Wii's but many of which sit in their closest and collect dust.  Get it into your head already.

How could they get the info wrong in the first place? Someone not doing their job right I guess.
