Avarice28 said: Alot has changed since SE first put their games on the 360, again I am not knocking the console. But SE learned that if you want to sell a HD JRPG in Japan you must support the ps3 for HD rpg support (see WKC) or the wii or psp for sd jrpgs (tales and monsterhunter). Sales talk and I really do not see the need for versus on the 360, especially in Japan where it would not be sold on the 360 just like 13. Why? well it would also be exclusive in Japan where majority of rpg's flourish. Either way I really do not care since I only have 2 consoles this gen and they both have a "P" in there titles. |
Considering it is the only JRPG only for PS3 so far in Japan it's hard to say. Who's to say that it's a guarantee it will sell near WKC numbers on PS3. Answer is...we don't know since we have nothing to go off of accept one game so far. It shows that PS3 will definitely be good for helping get sales in Japan but it cannot be stated as a guarantee at this point either.
(Sorta off topic here but not) since we have been discussing JRPG very in depth in here I wanted to let you guys see the new info I came across for Magna Carta 2's battle system. It is from www.siliconera.com.
Softmax wisely scrapped the Trinity Rings from Magna Carta: Tears of Blood. Famitsu reports the combat system in Magna Carta 2 is new and makes use of the environment through field attributes.
After a real-time field to combat switch players control a leader character while the computer takes care of the other party members. Leaders can be changed at anytime and there is a benefit to a swap. Team attacks from the chain system can be used after a leader change. Linked attacks between hero Juto and heroine Zephie may not grab your attention, but Magna Carta 2 has some cool looking encounters like this fight against a monstrous worm.
How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
