Will be interesting to see the numbers, my guess is that Wii will be ahead of 360 and that ahead of PS3.....anyone wanna bet?

This is the biggest problem lately: everything seems to have fallen more or less in line with expectations. Still, I'm sure the guys over at GAF will manage to be surprised somehow. Or at least cranky. Some of them are bound to be cranky. Of course, some of ours are bound to be cranky, too, but we don't make amusing .gifs about it. |
I don't think the gap is going anywhere until the PS3 gets a price drop. The reason the gap decreases during the summer is let casual people buy game console during the summer. I think more hardcore gamers are buying the PS3, then casual gamers. When the holiday hits, moms, dads and casual gamers buy lots of games and many of them are money concious. The cheaper systems with the most games usually does better. Until Sony can get their PS3 under $300, it's going to have a hard time beating the competition during the holidays.

'gaming till I'm gone'
Should prove to be an interesting month software wise. Until then, looks like I'll be playing the waiting game.
This is going to be good no matter what the news is.
I have been wanting to see these numbers for awhile now.
Tick tock tick tock...

Who do you think you are lol? What if everyone thought of themselves to be as important as you two, this thread would have 10 pages full of memory posts. Spammers. |
Your post did not add much either.

Just ran across this nugget from Greenberg today:
"As far as the PS3 price drop rumors, to be honest we fully expect a PS3 price drop to happen by E3 at the latest. If you look at the market fundamentals they have no choice but to do so with continuing year over year sales declines over the last 5 months."

The year over year declines did not start until November so he is most definitely talking March 09 NPD figures as well. He would have had the data if the interview was done earlier this week or so. Interview was posted today. Looks like many will be correct if this is the case that VGC overshot the PS3 for the month by a decent margin. PS3 did 257k in March 2008 NPD.
