Andrew Reiner, editor of GameInformer magazine, has just posted on his twitter feed. In his tweet, he states that Rockstar visited the GI offices, the game Rockstar brought with them may ‘have been Grand Theft Auto V.’

Until we get a confirmation from Rockstar or GameInformer, we should take this with a grain of salt. Andrew did not give any more details, such as consoles or any kind of official revealing.

How can something being "announced" be a rumour... if it is a rumour then it wasn't announced it was just rumoured.

BTW - currently playing Chinatown Wars, and its FANTASTIC. The previous GTA console titles bored the hell out of me, for some reason this just feels so different and fun.

There were 2 years between Vice City and San Andreas. (Oct 02 to Oct 04)

If they follow the same schedule, that would make Apr 2010 as the release for the next GTA. So this would be the last E3 to announce the game before release.

If so, please let it be Vice City.

i think it will be out fall of 2010 there better be drivable tanks in the game though
