I beg to differ. If the Wii appealed to me, I would own a Wii, same for the 45 million PS360 owners who don't own one...

I'm not saying it's a bad console, I'm just saying that of the three consoles, I like the library the least.

The Wii will never be the PS2 of this generation. It has far more competition than the PS2 ever faced. The PS2 never had to compete with handhelds for games to the extent that the Wii has to. It also didn't have an audience that is as diverse and fickle as the Wii's.

Okay, instead of saying "The Wii DOES appeal to everyone," say "Nintendo INTENDED for the Wii to appeal to everyone." That's what they were aiming for. Of course nothing can please everyone.

The Wii is the only Nintendo system I haven't purchased since the NES. Motion Controls don't appeal to me at all. Having Zelda come out on GC as well made me not need to purchase Wii.

I think if they would have "allowed" conventional controls on their games (as well as the wii mote), had some type of upscaling ability in the hardware (720p at least)it would have appealed to pretty much everyone. Instead even though it sells the most, it mostly appeals to woman (wii fit and wii sports), to kids (mario kart, SBB, mario party), and to nintendo core gamers(Zelda, mario galaxy,and metroid). The wii as a console just does not give me anything that I cannot get on the ps3 and 360, I do not care for the waggle, and I really care about HD fidelity. So the audience that the wii is targeting is not me (hard core).
