I'd like to round out this question with a good conversation about the pros and cons, alternatives and examples...

I do realize that we are on a sales website but I feel we could add some perspective.

Winning as in being the better game or having more comercial success ?

Better game/console.  I think I sould have worded the title THE metric for winning.

Because everything else is subjective.

Because when you sell more of something, you win something.

We mostly argue about what it is that you win though.

Those guys are winning.

This and the fact that the credibility of many game review sources has been called into question to a greater extent than in the past.

its because they play sales instead of games.

they basicly just clutch onto any argument they can get hold of and sales is a good one.

so really there not gamers at all.
