Yeh but to be honest, I prefer my game complete when I buy it..

Fair enough if it's a map pack or extra songs that can't fit on the disk or couldn't be included due to time constraints etc but not this bullshit of unlocking what's already on the disk..

Wasn't Crackdown similar... where you could actually see the stuff that the DLC unlocked, but you couldn't use it.

So lame. I've owned every console RE "proper" game, except RE3. RE5 was on the bubble for various reasons, but now, any chance that I will buy this game have evaporated.

It's quite blaitant that the versus mode was already on the disk , they shoudla filled it with useless data to increase the size .

They released two free packs and a pack you had to pay for.  The pack you had to pay for was 90 megs.  It was some new weapons and vehicles.

You shouldn't ever let optional DLC influence your decision to play such an awesome game. So what if the VS mode is not included. The online co-op through the story far outweighs a missing game mode like VS that was never even included in RE4 so why should they include it in RE5! Had the RE5 Mercenaries mode been missing than that would be another story.

You should still buy it. And pick up RE3 to complete your collection (if you can get past the outdated graphics), Nemesis was such an awesome game too!
