Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec - 11 Million Copies Sold

LOL

Thats list needs to be updated.

And GTA III SA had passed according to VGC VC :?

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

those 3 pokemon games are actually the same game, released at the same time just a slightly different version. That's why they are counted as one game.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

The list is incorrect. Super Mario Bros. is the top selling game, selling over 40 million copies. And don't give me any of this "it was bundled" bull shit, for you could buy an NES without the game, for a cheaper price, if you wanted to. Also, Tetris sold around 30 million. I don't see that on the list. And where is Super Mario World? Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Wii Sports might eventually be there. Halo 3 will crack it for sure.

Question: Why is Halo 3 "for sure" going to crack a list in which Halo 2 is hanging at the very bottom of? I'm not saying it's impossible or even unlikely, but at the same time I'm no where near convinced that the third in the series is a "lock" to outsell the second.

The list seems to exclude any game that was a pack-in... period. Regardless of if its sales as a solo title would have pushed it onto the list. Also, if I'm not mistaken, hasn't the DS version of Animal Crossing recently crossed the 8 million mark? If so, wouldn't that push off all of the 8 million listed titles here?

EDIT: Wait a minute, no it doesn't as Donkey Kong Country is there... so... *shrugs*

The trouble with pack-ins...it's not just bundled or not bundled. Some games are part of timed bundles, some games are part of "get a console with any of these 3 games for $xxx"-bundles etc.

Should we stop counting Resistance/Motorstorm in Europe? Nintendogs and Rayman are also part of popular bundles. What to do with them?

This sites numbers may have some issues sometimes, but Wikipedia's list is just horrible. A few completely anal editors have taken it over, and dictated virtually no source on the internet is up to their verifiability standards.

I've begun to hate Wikipedia...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

You shouldn't hate Wikipedia. It's good for a bunch of stuff... yet a complete failure at being at what this site does. I would honestly appreciate a few more cited sources on our worldwide software sales chart and a few others, though.
