@Jo21: You're finally starting to see how off the base your argument is?
If DSi would support MP3, would it then be able to play audio purchased from iTunes? Your only argument has been that DSi doesn't play music from iTunes, which is the case with every other music player there is, outside iPod. Let's DRM the audio to DSi, and, surprise, DSi plays AAC with DRM. DSi doesn't play DRM audio if the specific DRM is coded to prevent playing it on DSi.
What AAC support does however, is make DSi compatible with other mobile devices.

Its worth mentioning that most iTunes music has gone DRM free in the last few months. That should work just fine with the DSi.
