So there's hope that we get a Star Fox game with (mostly) linear levels instead of flying around freely all the time and shooting some stuff like in Command. Not that Command was bad, but it wasn't exactly up to par with the previous games.

Eh, I thought Command was a really terrible game. It was extremely repetitive and irritating, and the story line was Furry Soap Opera.

Q Games made that game. Are you really insulting the Star Fox "creator"?

Yep!

Oh shit...

What the fuck?

This. Miyamoto created Star Fox. and Nintendo should make the next one. It is one of Nintendo's series.

^ yea, i think Q games is the the main team is what they mean

But they are not the main team.

Nintendo made Star Fox and Star Fox 64
Rare made Adventures
Namco made Assault
Q games made Command

Nintendo is the main team.

StarFox would be perfect on the wii, you could use the WiiMote like a control stick in a military fighter jet! Oh man, I'd really love a new StarFox game. Can we put our hopes on Miyamoto and Nintendo to get the job done?

This is covered in the other thread, which is why you'll end up saying stupid things that have already been discussed if you split topics like this. Q Games was only involved in the DS Star Fox, but Cuthbert was also a part of Argonaut many years back, and they helped to create the special chip and programming needed to make the 3D game engine for the SNES Star Fox.  Argonaut was very much involved in the SNES game so far as programming is concerned, but the game design / level design / everything else was 1st party (Nintendo EAD).  Argonaut also worked on a sequel on the SNES and pretty much completed it, but Nintendo declined to release it and instead went on to create Star Fox 64 entirely in-house (EAD again).

So, Star Fox 64, the best Star Fox game in the series (in my humble opinion), is the one that had zero involvement from any 2nd/3rd party dev -- no Namco, Rare, Argonaut, or Q-Games on board.  This guy's claim to the Star Fox legacy is really just based on programming / 3D game engine work for the SNES, and more recently, the DS game.

April 1st was days ago...

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

^ if you and Rol are right....he needs to shut his mouth then, hes acting like he owns the series

I thought Command was just okay. The combat was quite enjoyable, as was the system of chaining time extensions together. I hated the missiles, however, and the story was just depressing at points.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
