I'm sure most japanese people (90-95%) don't even know about "april fools" - there is a small group of people on the internet that do pranks aswell, but these likely know about it due to the huge western influence on the internet.

Coincidently the 1. of april marks the beginning of a new fiscal year for many companies, so releasing trailers/infos on games that release within this FY absolutely makes sense.

Um 2 things, Eternal Sonata came in the US one month after the JP release and Tales of Vesperia has been discontinued on the 360 in the US.

I think sooner all the english work is done just adding new things shouldnt take too long

just because they are announcing it now doesn't mean that it isn't already been in development for a while.

i truly hope it gets officially announced (for NA). i'm not too keen on getting it for the 360 as it would go a lot further if i get it for the ps3 (i can share it with my brother).
