If it's right on that I deserve a bunch of cookies.

I should be 675k - 725k though.

I reckon it'll be about 800,000 and by launch of Mario Kart it'll be a bundle - along with Wii Sports and Wii Play to ensure steady sales through 2008.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

One week to go people until Mr. Mario returns.

"...if I were a betting man I'd say 135k [for Wii hardware]"

and that Galaxy will do "750k" in week one.

I'm going to go with the assumption that Wii will move 40,000 units this week in anticipation of Galaxy and as other software releases.  Galaxy should increase Wii sales in Japan by a factor of 2:1 to 4:1.

I'd go with 80-120k for Wii in Galaxy week, and ~550,000 to 700,000.

We'll see though!

I'd say that's a probably a good assumption.

800k for Galaxy
120k for Wii

Soriku- well I think its apparent that Nintendo is going to have a larger supply of Wiis available when Galaxy releases. I mean Wii shipments to Japan have been a lot lower in the last quarter, suggesting that they were either allocating elsewhere or storing for future dates, such as this one. So they should have enough to make sales jump up that high.

962,000. Close to 1m, but not quite there.

I think the game will sell around 800k in its first week.

I'm sticking with around 700k unless retailers upped their preorders. It should sell out of it's initial shipment in its first week up to around 1 million.
