During one part of that mission when you are separated after lifting her up to this spot, she runs away and gets mauled by a dog. She has a pistol, the laser stick, and 3 different kinds of grenades. What does she do? She stands there and keeps getting hit by the dogs until she died. She was on "cover", but according to what you said, she should have still attacked the dogs, right? I gave her ALL of my grenades, since I never use them. She only ever used one of them, and I will admit that it was at a pretty damn good time. Besides that, it's like she's not strong enough to pull the pins out or something, because she refuses to use grenades. The only thing she was good at was those small quick time events. I don't think it's possible for her to lose them, which is good because that would be sooooooo annoying. Maybe I just don't know how to play yet? *rolls eyes* Well, speaking of RE5, did anyone like the quick time events in this game? I thought they were another annoyingly stupid part, considering that they're not hard at all. You can press down every single button on the 360 as fast as you can, and you get through those cut-scenes. It doesn't matter if you press the wrong one as long as you press the right one as well. I thought it was a lame idea to do it in such a "cheating" way, so I actually tried getting through those legitimately, and I a now 95% positive that it's impossible to do it that way. Those quick time events go way too fast to do them without cheating, and they happen at the most RANDOM times, like at the very very end of the game. I hated that last one because I already had my controller by my side, the ending was rolling, and all of a sudden it prompted me to press some buttons. After flailing my arms and fumbling with my controller, guess what happened? I ****ing died, and had to do the entire last boss over. Overall I thought RE5 had the worst implementation of QTE ever. GoW on the other hand does it great. |
I played the game with Sheva on Cover 100% of the time.
She gets hurt 10 times less than I do and nothing aside bosses ever reaches me, I can snipe or do whatever I want she will not let anything reach me alive.
She killed 1 boss for me on Veteran mode ( the last Uroboros version).
On pro mode I had her handle the flamethrower against the second Uroboros and she did a wonderfull job of it too....
Thing is you have to be half smart and understand how the AI works when you give her gear.
It's pointless to give her grenades if she has a gun as she will use the gun as long as it has ammo.
It's pointless to give her a kick ass shotgun or machine gun if you give her a pistol with infinite ammo, she will only use the pistol...( if the pistol doesn't have infinite ammo she will only switch to the better weapon when the pistol is out of ammo).
Give her the right weapons and she will do 50% of your work...
The best config in my view is giving her a decent machine gun with infinite ammo as well as all your healing items (I give her grenades too but she just carries them for me). She will fire the machine gun by burst of 3 bullets at a time and will take care of the majority of enemies ( she does have a lot of problem against enemies with firearms so you have to step in there).
So yes I guess it is a case of you learning to play the game....
Heck on pro mode I can get Sheva AI to do a full melee combo on Wesker....
