To Square Enix,

Prepare to be disappointed by the sales. Every JRPG has sold worse in Europe than in the US, including Chrono Trigger and Persona 4. Heck, lack of Europe sales numbers for the PSP remakes indicate that they've sold really bad.

We dont have DQIV and V numbers in Europe and they sold well there. Much better than in North America. While we have numbers for Persona 4 which has completely bombed there.

I dont think that lack of Europe numbers for some games has anything to do with them being low.

Yeah I agree. EU sales are hard to track and I doubt SE just lied about how succesful the PSP versions were. PSP sales seem to be the main games undertracked there. SO4 will have monitering because of the higher profile.

What Rei said. One blatant example are PSP game sales. According to the official report, there's 18.7m PSP games sold in the UK, and yet VGChartz have it at 12m sold for the whole OTHERS region.

It doesn't compute.

Given the fact that SO3 only sold, what? 90k in PAL they can only go up

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Persona 4 sold much lower because most europeans imported the better U.S version most likely. SE didn´t bother to remove the black borders and include 60Hz support. I bought both P3: FES and P4 PAL, but I played their NTSC version since the PAL versions looked bad on my HDTV even via component cable.

SE.....look at u....just look at you....why go through this.....
M$ wont buy you happiness

Star Ocean 4 is awesome... why so much hate, 'kay?

Ohh, it's because it's on the 360, 'kay. Now I understand, 'kay.

VGChartz♥♥♥♥♥FOREVER

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

The funny part is the psp version outsold the 360 version (star ocean 4) according to vgchartz. But yet they are still tight lipped about a "improved version" with both audio tracks (japan and english dubs) coming in a ps3 version. I know it will probably never happen, but they "need" the cash since they just bought eidos which IMOB is the best of the worst developers out there.

No body said they hate the game itself 'kay

but hate the idea of making it exclusive to a system that most of its fans dont have 'kay

'kay.....Okay

So are you a fan of plastic or a fan of games?  If you're fan of games it would make sense to buy the system the has the most games you like on it.

It seems to me that if you're a fan of JRPGs then it makes the most sense to own a 360 this generation.  Or own all the systems like it do :D

PSP is a device that has been known for JRPGs for quite some time. The 360 only obtained such status recently, and even then it's JRPG collection is not very large.

It's unlikely that European JRPG fans moved en masse to the 360, and I don't expect SO4 to perform very well in the region.
