Mirror's Edge with Balance Board support...hmmm

At least it would be 1080p 60fps ports, wouldn't they? :D

I'd be surprised if Nintendos next home console could play PS3/360 games. That's not a jab at Nintendo but I can't see it... then again I couldn't see us waggling controllers a few years ago neither.

Not sure.

Wii got a lot of Ps2 ports, right? Despite the Wii being a lot stronger than the Ps2, they still weren't touched up from the Ps2 versions.

So, I'd say no. They'd probably be "direct ports". Of course, this depends... Will Wii 2 be as strong as the Ps360?

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

nope to core for the wii

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

If it did it would make me sad, it would mean the major players in the industry hadn't learned anything.

What? Aren't almost all the ports to Wii succesful (ie, made money).

The average port almost certainly made more money than the average game. By far.

Exactly.  I think we are certain to see RE5 Wii 2, Dead Space Wii 2 (proper game not some onrails bullshit), Cod4 Wii2, GTAIV Wii 2, etc

I never meant in a financial sense, company's have to do what they have to do to make money.  I would hate to see it in place of genuine support in the form of new and original IP's for Nintendo's new system.

Twilight Princess was great for example but everyone is clamouring for an original Zelda, imagined and developed from the ground up to take advantage of the Wii's uniqueness.

Nintendo will not name his next consonle Wii2. Thay have more imagination.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

Wait, so you think that developers try to create reviewer's claim?

Do you honestly think that more than 1/10 who bought Twilight Princess thought of it not being a "original Zelda"?

Well, I'll give you one thing. You were correct in your original post.

You said " it would mean the major players in the industry hadn't learned anything."

They didn't learn anything, because there was nothing to be learned. They had it right from the beginning. Porting to Wii was a better idea than to make a game from the ground up to it.

I'm not sure if the same is still the case, but it will be for the Wii 2's first year.

You can't say that the major players messed up because 10,000 people on the gaming sites on the net wanted an "original" version of the game. (Of course, that number would differ from game to game).

And yes Zack "he" is not an idiot. We're using Wii 2 as a placeholder (obviously).

Well when i made the statement regarding it was as one of those 10 000 people that hang out on game sites;) and yes i while we can expect companies to try to make money i don't want to be seeing port after port at the expense of new and original games.

People seem to accept ports as being part of the Wii's place in the industry, and maybe it is, but what would happen if it started happening on all next generation systems?(i mean the 720, PS4 Wii2 etc)  Certainly for the industry to be healthy companies need to make money but creativity and original ideas are what keep the industry moving forward.

Anway, my original comment was admittedly and intentionally from a very selfish point of view and i never meant it in a fiscal sense.
