I fully agree with you. The urban areas mite not even beat Unreal engine 3 (im not sure)

But the forests proves this is better than anything else on consoles, especially the pine tree forest was amazing.

not really , i noticed there is alot of Pop outs espicially when they view the sea, and when that tree falls off you see weird slowish frame rates and the shadow looks out of place.

however the Water effects are the best thing about CryEngine in my opinion

the beginning looked terrible really terrible, . I thought it look liked an engine for the conduit or wii, until they moved into the city. The organic environment was really really nice. The trees and vegetation looked real in the forest area. I wonder why they put in that first series of clips. Water effects were nice also.

Am I the only one who finds this engine extremely boring ? As realistic as it looks, it appears to be lifeless. I think it lacks depth or something.

I wasn't particularly impressed with the explosions, I think Killzone's are better. The destructibility is awesome though. The forrest environments are stunning.

I wonder if we'll ever see a PS3/360 game with the engine, I'd be intrigued to see what they could pull off with it but I'm afraid that the hardware limitation could create a lot of technical problems (a bit like the original Killzone on PS2).

^yeah the explosions can't even touch killzone's particle effects. It's like trying to pit a baby against a gorilla in an arm wrestling contest.
