@Mr Khan: Nintendo has the game engine from from Wave Race Blue Storm, which means that the game is "as deep as a full game". Then again, since it's designed to promote WM+, Nintendo developes a rather expensive control mechanism (depending what all they are going to do with the controls). The controls would transfer (slightly upgraded, like Charge->MKWii) into the Wave Race. Having a fun water jet minigame would get people to go into a full water jet game that would have more tracks, online multiplayer, different game modes etc. I really have trouble in seeing the financial incentive to put a "full" game, that you could later charge a full price, into a minigame compilation that's supposed to promote a new functionality. Of course, the Wave Race game would come out a while after WSR.
