Forums - Nintendo - Why is Madworld the poster child for Hardcore on Wii?

@Makinmusic: There are a number of sequels i'm hoping to find them on Wii some day. Like F-Zero and what would be extremely cool game would be Wave Race. Punch-Out is coming, so that's one out from the wishlist and Kid Icarus would be fun to see on Wii.

By the way, considering that WSR has the water jet racing, Wave Race Wii could likely hit Wii. Nintendo propably doesn't want to create a controls engine just for one minigame. The controls from Charge in Wii Play went nearly 1:1 to Mario Kart Wii.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I wonder what goodies Iwata will announce at his keynote...

See, i took that as decreasing the chances for a new Wave Race on Wii. According to them, the Jet ski portion would be as deep as a standalone title. Why make another standalone title of virtually the same thing?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Around the Network

Because it's made by a good developer, a new ip, and is good.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

@Mr Khan: Nintendo has the game engine from from Wave Race Blue Storm, which means that the game is "as deep as a full game". Then again, since it's designed to promote WM+, Nintendo developes a rather expensive control mechanism (depending what all they are going to do with the controls). The controls would transfer (slightly upgraded, like Charge->MKWii) into the Wave Race. Having a fun water jet minigame would get people to go into a full water jet game that would have more tracks, online multiplayer, different game modes etc. I really have trouble in seeing the financial incentive to put a "full" game, that you could later charge a full price, into a minigame compilation that's supposed to promote a new functionality. Of course, the Wave Race game would come out a while after WSR.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Man, a new Waverace game would be so awesome. Anyone remember the very first Waverace on Gameboy?
