To be honest, I liked VG Charts. Now VG Chartz is trying to be something 1337.

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

I always liked it... It's the site I visit the most and it's far better than other gaming communities. Even hardcore fanboys on here aren't as annoying as on other sites, which is great. Brett is awesome for making it! ^__^

yeah there are some dbags in here, but the mods do their jobs a lot better than most sites and you should thank them for it.
Even the fanboys aren't too bad, and most people have a good sense of humor. I enjoy bickering with others and most people seem to get that and can play the game. In that sense, a lot of our members are really astute, and I'm glad we don't have the kind of threads you described in the OP.
the wii owners are pretty ignorant though, but whatever it's cool cuz we're all friends!!

Anyway from now on I will defend VGCHARTZ on other forums! VGCHARTZ defense force where are you?

This site doesn't deserve the hate and especially Brett doesn't deserve it.  A guy like him should get the praise of gamers worldwide for what he is doing for us!

Other ones who didnt' liked VGCHARTZ at first?

I've got some answers for that. First of all, it's an exhaustive process. Going on GT telling some 13 year old that VG chartz is actually quite accurate, showing proof and discussing that quite elaborate will leave you with: "You fag, sthe site is shite because it is not as accurate as NPD!" Remember... an idiot drags you down to his level, then beats you with experience.

Secondly, a lot of people enjoy it so much here that most people do no longer visit other forums, thus only knowing from other sites' reactions through other posters (like yours.)

To me, the site is great and has awesome MATURE members. I mean, a guy proclaiming the awesomeness that is CGI and hyping up heavy rain will not hold back to defend wii games he enjoys...that's great and I have not found it anywhere else.

I do wish that sometimes, the mods would not ban as quickly when the troll in question is garnering awesome laughs. For instance, Crazzyman... just ban the guy for a few hours, instead of months. We need people like him for the lulz!

heh. I agree with this too.

OT: This site is awesome and I liked it from the start. It's the only forum I ever go to anymore. I just can't take the level of idiocy that exists on other sites. I guess I've been spoiled....
