Yeah I really hope for Valkyria to become the new Sakura Taisen thanks to the anime, at least the franchise has already gathered a strong fanbase.

I do as well. 

I actually finished the Sakura Taisen anime fairly recently.  I enjoyed it a lot.  It managed to be exactly what it appeared--a fun drama/action/comedy with mecha.

The cheaper version in Japan has done really well, only bested by Yakuza:Kenzan!'s cheaper edition.

It'll get another push with the release on the anime in April.

The agony: To get one of the ingame medals (basically trophies) one of your squad member has to perma-die. I could NEVER bring myself to do it even after 3 run through.

To OP, you should have gotten both :p but I least you were sensible enough to pick the better game. Tops!
