RE5 sold 120k more units on PS3 so far, you guys still think Lost Planet 2 will be a 360 exclusive?

RE5 is the first RE game on a Microsoft console. Look at DMC4, it's comparable.

Lost Planet started on the 360 so it's userbase is much bigger.

With other words you're comment is meaningless.

You said 55% of their customers are on PS3. I thought you meant customers of all their franchises, not just resident evil. Xbox has a large capcom fanbase.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

America and Others numbers always give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

So you say that all the 360 owners had only an XBox last gen ? Interesting...

Same here. Japanese numbers are always so depressing.

do numbers like this prove that PS2 owners are migrating to 360 in the US to play the old franchises now.... such as RES?

RE was mostly a Nintendo franchise last gen, so I doubt it means that. I think a lot of the 360 RE5 buyers are the traditional 360 shooter fanbase. That's why the PS3 version is very competitive, despite the smaller install base. I'm sure it holds a relatively higher percentage of traditional RE gamers.

but there was a fair hardware boost??

Well, RE5 is a very big franchise with lots of hype, so surely it will create a boost. To a lot of people the game will look like a shooter, so that benefits the 360, with a much broader shooter library. And indeed some of those will be Gamecube/Wii/PS2 owners seeking the cheapest option to play RE5.

No, they need to satisfy what platform their customers prefer, and their customers are on PS3 (55 %).

Considering that 55% of RE5 sales where on PS3, wouldn't they allready be satisfying those customers and thus not have to change a thing?

Edit: Also can someone explain to me why every console sells less in americas than others except for Wii, which not only sold more this week, but almost 100k more.

Another smart move by Microsoft.
they probably figured that RE5 will sell better on PS3 due to its genre so they bundled it!
Thus, great software sales on the PS3 side, but more HW sales for Microsoft.
Brilliant!

people who wanted to play this game bought Xbox360 - cheaper console + free game.

^ LOL??

No but I'm saying that a higher percentage of PS3 owners had or still have a PS2

Those hardcore Playstation/Resident Evil fans (who are far more than XBOX fans) have surely bought a PS3 in the first weeks/months and of course bought their next Resident Evil game on a PS console.
