Versus looks better than 13 IMO - though I'll be getting both

The sad thing is though, it wont likely sell as well as 13 due to its name - it does look a bit like a spin off/sequel. They should name it Final Fantasy XIV lol

i didnt think it would be just another spin off. and i hope its really not. i didnt enjoy silly plot and pressing only the X button in FFX-2

it's KH team , it's just the tilte that was clearly used to bring in some more money.

@darth: even if FF is a bigger game , this doesn't mean that this is a spin-off, it's just another SE game.

as FF V 13 isn't a mainline FF

it is a spin-off.....not to say thats a bad thing

It wasnt a jab at you.  I know you have always been pumped for this game.

But you know as well as I do that the PS3-core's enthusiasm for the main game has plummeted since the multi-platform announcement.

I'm not pumped for anything Final Fantasy related, but I've noticed the same thing on these boards when it comes to FFXIII and VsXIII.

It is a spinoff, and spinoffs are not necessarily bad and may result in a new franchise being born.

A spin-off is a new entity formed from a bigger entity.

considering the quality of the SE games so far this gen on 360 one cannot be happy that ffxiii is multiplat  hence more excitement for verses

I havent been here long enough for most of you to know my opinion on which I find better.

I can tell you without a doubt from Day 1 I was more excited for Verses just because as bad as it sounds I dont like playing as Chicks. Especially for an RPG it was one of the reasons I didnt give X-2 a chance until much later in my life.

Then I found out which team was handling which and that only sealed the deal for me.
