Z is not the new game, it's just the port of the 1&2 on ps2(some new characters and new charpters, of course).
What's more, both 1&2 have already ported to PSP and both sold about 200000.
So, the number is surprisingly good.

Another great week for the PS3. Sony's been haing a great run in japan recently. Nintendo needs to unveil some big guns if it wants to get the market back.

Damn it, all Wii games bombed? Phantom Brave and Sonic don't have the numbers, and almost always that means they did horribly. Pikmin 2 underperformed badly, what's Nintendo thinking about? Seriously, step up Nintendo or come out and tell us about your strategy. PS3 is gonna have a big week again, and well deserved.

Then it is pretty impressive result... i mean if a port which had already been ported can hit 100k in first week than a brand new game with PS3 standard graphics and sound story and gameplay can sell quite well.. may be these result will convince KOEI to produce a new Orochi game for PS3

Good first day sales for Musou Orochi Z semms like another good week for ps3.

damn... its gonna be a tough month for the wii

maybe by april/may it can get its act together with a few high profile games that will pull it out of these hard times

PS3 sales should be down this week despite the new release. The strong RE debut only pushed PS3 hw up 15%, the previous game Yakuza 3 had more than doubled sales.

PS3 will likely still top Wii though. Probably 28k vs. 19k or something.

Yeah that's to be expected. I am curious if the PS3 will be able to stay above 30k, probably not.

only if they cut the price.. i think then PS3 can easily stay above 30k.
