= KZ2 should of pissed all over Halo Wars.

Halo Wars has had huge marketing on Comedy Central, TBS, and Adult Swim the past month. The adverts run ~30 seconds long in full CGI never showing gameplay or even mentioning it's a RTS. KZ2 has had the bulk of its advertising on Adult Swim past 12 am. Just because you don't see a ad doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Remember that whole "It is an fps game, america loves fps games"?

i'd be willing to bet a significant % of the people who bought it didn't know that , but of course there's no way of truly determining that.

It's not a cop out. What happened in Europe, where the install bases are close?

Killzone 2= 510k

Halo Wars = 224k

Also from the NA sales comments:

Rainbird said: the attach ratio for Killzone 2 first week numbers in America is ~0,044 where the attach ratio for first week numbers of Halo Wars are ~0,025

Install base made all the difference.

It has Halo in the name, it's the same with Final Fantasy or Resident Evil.

I actually expected Halo Wars to outsell KZ2 a little bit, nothing extreme. Only because the fanbase is in the Multi-Millions. Plus GG had a pretty bad rep for it's first game.

I've also heard about people bringing the game back because it wasn't a Shooter. As to how many, no idea, but we can assume at least a handful.

2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.

Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

And please, lets just wait to see how big the drop of HW will be in the US 2nd week... will it manage to keep the amazing legs of H1/2/3 or not? I bet it wont ;)
