Yea which is why people should wait for video rather than overreacting based on single words. 

Anyways looks pretty good and just like Excite Trucks with more features.  I'll follow this one a little more but not sold yet.  I've never been a huge racer fan.

I'm just going to call this Excitetruck II and be happy. It's the exact same engine, many of the same play mechanics, and a whole lot more fun added in for good measure. I like it when a company isn't afraid to take a risk like this on an already good engine. Excitetruck was the most under-scored game in the launch period of the Wii and I'm sure this one will probably get bad reviews as well....but I'll certainly be picking it up.

Think back to all the different N64 racers - San Francisco RUSH, Extreme-G, F-Zero X, SW: Ep1 Racer, etc. MASSIVE blur-effect and intense feel of speed... which is exactly why we loved 'em!

This is a throwback to classic racers and I'm STOKED.

Yep! I was right. GameStop has it listed as $40 with out the Wii-wheel.

It's like Excite Truck which I love, $10 cheaper, has online and probably better multi-player than ET. So I will get it day one! Video looked amazing too! Looks better than ET visually, well slightly, but that is still good. XD

Question is... how many players locally? I know it has up to six players online, and it has "party modes"... but does that mean four-player splitscreen?

I don't understand why Ninty's been leaving behind the concept they pioneered and made huge - it's the biggest reason I became as big a Nintendo gamer as I have been. So many of their multiplayer games more recently have been two-player only. Here's hoping it has four!

Looks pretty awesome, if a bit overdone. I just want to see a whole race, start to finish, to see how seamlessly the little gimmicks are incorporated. Just some normal footage. If it all just flows together, it should be epic

Wow. That might actually be a lot of fun.
It looks like the "minigames" are actually just achievements to do while driving.
Which is very much in the spirit of the first game.

only 2 player splitscreen again? weak, oh well, It still looks like it will be a great game anyway, I hope custom soundtracks are still in
if it has 2 player splitscreen online it'll help even out the no 4 player
well 40 for it seems square to me even with only 2 player support

I wonder if you can build your own bots? That would make me a lot more interested.
