Oh yes it proved itself time and time again. Just look at all those core games sitting at the 1million mark that are not 1st party titles. You are right the wii is the console with tons of core games surpassing the 1 million mark. How could i be so blind?

First off, a game doesn't have to pass the million mark to be a successful game, that notion in and of itself is ridiculous - Because you are now clearly stating that Castlevania as a series has never been successful.
Second off, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero 4, Lego Star Wars, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Rock Band, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Lego Indiana Jones, Red Steel, Shaun White
Regardless of whether you like these games or not, they are third-party, they are aimed towards the core market, and they did sell over a million, with many more crawling towards the one million mark.
When third-partys make something good on Wii, it, in most cases, sells. When they don't, guess what? In most cases, it will NOT sell. Sega seem to be the only third-party right now who have understood this.
While we're still at the "million-seller games are the only successful ones", let me point out that Lost Odyssey must be a miserable failure then. Right? Or does it only apply to the Wii?
