Agreed. Especially as someone who owns 10+ games for all consoles! (30+ each for each HD console!)

You honestly think that if a JRPG released at the same Time on BOTH the 360 and PS3 the PS3 wouldnt do better? Especially with Japan on its side? You Fail at life |
Japan is big in terms of JRPGs, but not bigger than NA+Others. So yes Blue Dragon would have destroyed a PS3 version, Lost Odyssey as well and like I said probably even IU & TLR would have outsold a PS3 version.
And please don't insult me just because you have a different opinion. It makes you look like a 12 years old kid.

Wait. You think if Blue Dragon was multiplat, that the 360 version would outsell the PS3 version?
@OutlawAuron I'm actually 100% positive that if Blue Dragon was released day one multiplat, the 360 version would win.
December 7, 2006 JP Blue Dragon Release
August 28, 2007 NA Blue Dragon Release
11 November 2006 PS3 Releases
Total Units of PS3 on August 25 2007 in America Slightly under 2million
Total units of PS3 on December 10 2006 in Japan around 250,000

But Blue Dragon's sales weren't in its first week or first months sales.
It was the first 360 game to have any type of legs.
Well I'm not an expert on sales or business, so maybe I'm not 100% sure =P, but the difference between 7 million and 2.5 million seems large enough to almost assure the outcome. Plus first week of Blue Dragon was still slightly over 1/6th of it's total sales.
I think its time to face the facts guys.
JRPG's are NOT what they use to be.
Sure there are a few really great ones so far this current gen, Valkryia, Star Ocean, Taking Forever Fantasy Games, Enchanted Arms (lulz), Etc... Etc...
But the fact is, More and More JRPG's WILL be going to the Nintendo DS and the PlayStation Portable.
Handhelds = The Future of JRPG's. it'll most likely even go on to PSP2 and DS2 or whatever people are calling them now.

I agree.
Mass Effect was an above average jrpg, yes, Vesperia is the best jrpg this generation, followed closely by Radiant Dawn and Valkyria, yes, these are all truths to most purists out there.
However, hating on Square-Enix because they don't put games you want to play on your favorite system is childish. I don't care what your justifications are. I laugh at your misfortune, and relish in your anger and justifications. The PS3 isn't exactly a software seller, so it is likely that if MS are paying SE money or stock directly, they are making more money keeping these games temporarily exclusive, than they would with some halfassed PS3 port that wouldn't sell very well either. Just look at how poorly Bioshock sold. PS3 fans aren't software movers. Even their exclusives sell relatively poorly.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.

With most 360 games in Japan, the first weeks are less than 1/2 there first week sales.
Look at Vesperia, IU, TLR, etc. SO4 is going to follow as well.
