Forums - Nintendo - When is Nintendo releasing their own router for the DS and Wii?

I've read about it on IGN and on Nintendo's website, but I haven't heard anything as of late on their own router for the DS and Wii. My family has a router and yet my DS and Wii cannot pick up its signal (must be the cordless phone that's cutting into the frequency), so my DS can pick up my neighbor's wireless signal and my Wii uses a LAN cable. So has anyone heard of Nintendo's wireless router or when it's going to be released?

Nobody knows yet i hope it comes over seas cause my router is kinda incompatible, and as in kidna as in it can only pick it up it i set it to the shared option which my notebook and wii cant detect.

i think they`ll announce the release date at e3 i`m sure getting one if its cheap

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!

bet with *no one yet* that the combined first week of Monster Hunter 3 in america and europe will be 600k or more! winner changes looser sig and avatar for two months!

remember this, it looked sleek.

I'd be eating my own words, but i'll probably get their Router too. I'm probably going to be living in the same house in my college this year, the house where the wireless node is too far away for my Wii to pick up from my room (though my laptop is fine), and where the wireless is WPA, thus totally incompatible for my DS

I brought a router from home, but its this really buggy linksys we weren't using anymore. You can set it up, but after a few days it will just stop working, and you have to reset it. Not a troublesome process, but this sort of thing should just work

Either way, a Nintendo-sanctioned router would be ideal for me, though it might be a bit expensive for my tastes

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

You can always try searching for the discontinued Wi-Fi USB connector. Maybe there is still stock somewhere.

I have that, and sadly it's incompatible with 64-bit processor PCs. Two of my laptops are x64 Vista, but the adaptor only works on x86 (32-bit) processor PCs. It's all thanks to that company in Australia that accused Buffalo Technologies of copyright infringement (I don't see why they would do something like that...), so Nintendo or Buffalo Technologies cannot release any new driver updates or hardware until a certain amount of time has passed. Kind of pathetic of that Australia company, if you ask me...

I've never had any problems with my router, but I just might get this because it'll have Nintendo on it.

Why do you need a nintendo router? Any old router can work with this, just put it in mixed (both b and g) for the DS and Wii and only put WEP, although that makes your network insecure since hackers can break in easily.

Me too. ;-; I wish I had 32 bit Vista!  I can not get online, but I think I will purchase a wireless router soon.
