i agree with many parts of that list but i definatly dont think that is in any way shape or form accurate but then again its his opinion so we shouldnt judge

Super Mario Kart #1... really?... I love the game and it's my favorite Mario Kart (the feather will forever live) and all... but seriously... not number 1 to me if you don't have Zelda: Link to the Past as your #1 on a list like this, you don't know much/haven't been in gaming long enough, not in the top 10 is even worse.

Most of you people didn't read the Kotaku article. This isn't "best games" list. Its most influential games. That is completely different. And the lsit is terrible because:

1. Mario Kart isn't influential at all. What? it influenced devs to use split screen?
2. Virtual fighter isn't on the list? No Virtua Fighter = No Tekken 2 = no Soul Calibur both of which are there.
3. No Shenmue. So many games owe to shenmue and borrow, even some games on this list like God of war.
4 WTF is god of war doing here? It had nice graphics and presentation but story, gameplay ideas are all sub par compared to other games.
5. GTA3 is the most influential GTA game. Each one after played the same as GTA3.
6. Some Other games like Bioshock and Project Gotham Racing shouldnt be there. While games like Doom, Pong, pacman, quake should be there.

Actually Tekken 5 is the game that should have made the list. While Tekken 3 was epic, Tekken 5 is just so much better :P I have all the tekken games, and i like the evolution the series has taken. I really hope that when Tekken 6 comes out, I'll find that the best entry in the series.

 

If you love 5, you will definately love T6. All the TZ players who played T6 and T5 DR love T6 much more. Can't wait to do Hwoarangs RFF 3~4~f in the middle of Bounce combos.

Cool. It's my favorate fighting franchise. They need to bring back Devil Kazuya though XD !

I play the games for the individual stories too hehe. I find it a big part of it. Not to mention the various minigames and easter eggs always found in the Tekken games :P

They redid all animations in the game aparently. So i can't wait to see how each char's moves have changed. I have seen some vid's on youtube, but it's different when you control them yourself. It'll be easier to identify the small changes.

Also Gonna be good with the online part. They said it would have more than standard vs mode.. If they include tag, it would be so epic :P

Would be cool to bring Devil Kazuya back, although IMO they pobably would make him and DJ very similar, since DJ is considered top tier by most players.

 

The online thing better be much more efficiant than T5 DRO's, it's so terrible.  BTW they re-did all the frames for each character, so some animation is slightly different, but pretty much the same.  I know that some frames are chanaged so the game can be more balanced with all the characters.  My buddy who mains Kazuya has a totally different play style in T6 than in T5 due to frame changes.

Devil Jin is top tier? I actually see him as quite (very) weak. I also main Kazuya, along with Feng and Anna. Hopefully this frame change doesn't affect my play style too much.

It all depends on how you look at it i guess.  Some people consider DJ top teir, especially Japanese players, mainly because of how safe most of his moves are.  He also has very safe punishers.  Lets also not forget his EWGF lol

The only list that game should be on is: the most dissapointed list or : the worst game list.

and tbh the more often someone speaks in superlatives the less I tend to believe them
