^Because it had tremendous hype behind it, it was compared to Halo 3, it had multiplayer. While Bioshock was, mostly, under the radar.

Its a really hard guess.

From what I have heard, Bioshock has sold out - pretty much everywhere. I think Metroid will so similar, unless the shipment levels are really huge.

But Bioshock will be 50/50 sales with the 360/PC version (if not 40/60), and this will hurt our tracking.

Metroid has also ONLY been out for 1 day - and no weekends. May only be one or two days in the tracking for the game. Bioshock has almost had a week, including a weekend.

Bioshock - 420k (360 version only)

Metroid - 300k

But it will come down to shipment figures. Expect Nintendo to crank up the advertising for Metroid for this weekend, and release the "bombshell" in a week or two - (crosses fingers) - a downloadable playable demo.

Metroid Prime 275,000

Probably bigger starting numbers for BioShock due to the larger US/Canada install base and plus it seems to be the kind of game that the target Xbox 360 player would want moreso than Wii players with MP3.

 HOWEVER --  I am fairly certain that MP3 will have much better legs than Bioshock. Super Paper Mario is still doing quite nicely and it was released in April -- Zelda TP is top 20 most weeks despite being almost 10 months old.

 Its hard for me to predict the beginning numbers but I think the cumulative US/CA ones will be:

 BioShock           1.6m

 Metroid Prime 3 2.5m 

Metroids gonna show up on this weeks numbers?!?! The only place that released it on monday were stores like Wal-Mart.

I think the FIRST DAY for Metroid will be behind Bioshock (360) but add up this last week and this week: Metroid will beat it. I have no idea by how much though.

For the record, I ordered Metroid Prime 3, so I know it sold at least one copy.

Bioshock--- 400K
Metroid Prime 3 ----250K

With this being the first big game since Zelda for the wii i think it will sell more then bio, the 360 owners just have so many great games they can wait while to pick this up.

These sales will truly show how hardcore the wii fans are so far. If this game fails to outsell bio this will prove that the wii has failed in keeping any of its true fans. This is the third biggest game on the system it better sell big.

Bioshock - 340,000

Metroid Prime - 410,000

Adjusted for a full week I'm going to guess MP3 should do at least as well as SPM which sold to 9% of the Wii install base. My guess for Bioshock is that it will be like Lost Planet which sold to about 7% of the 360 install base but will lose 1/4-1/3 of those sales to the PC.

That would put them at:

MP3 - 350-430k (390k)
Bioshock - 300-400k (350k)
