Capcom announced Lost Planet 2 today and they showed a first trailer that looked really great. Because the trailer is only available on Xbox Live as it seems, I will post some screenshots for you. That is the reason I put it in MS discussion, too.

This thread should be about the graphics. For me, this game looks great. Of course there will be a comparison to Gears of War2. I don't want to judge anything without seeing it on my HDTV though. What do you think, could this game stand a graphical comparison with gears of war2?

I really hope, this was actual gameplay footage. It looked like it, that is for sure.

What is Lost Planet about?

I'm not all that impressed, and that definitely doesn't look like gameplay to me.

Looks good. It has some nice organic elements to it which is nice. Always good to have some color in your games.

Weak graphics IMO

Alright I'm going to elaborate on my last post a little bit.

I haven't ever played Lost Planet, I don't know anything about the game, and I can't watch that trailer right now because I'm in the library studying for my Economics exam that's in two hours.

Anyone care to tell me what the game's like?

Humans colonize a planet, the planet is way to cold so they try to simulate a global warming while they are doing it they found out that they are not alone. The planet has inhabitants who you can best describe as huge bugs. You the main character has to defeat those bugs with weapons and some kind of gundams. That is the game about (well there is a bigger story but you better check Wiki for that).
