Forums - PC Discussion - Arma II Officially Better Looking Than Crysis?

Haha. That's awesome. I thought maybe it was just an anomaly with that first picture you posted but it's not.

My arm hurts just thinking about it.

I was expecting a little more, from those requirements my computer might be able to run it? which is odd?

It is kind of fruitless to compare a game like ArmA to Crysis, they are very different in the way they go about things. But as to the system requirements, it was important for BIS to try and squeeze out as much juice as possible. I believe that the optimization has been a major part of the dev process. And besides, I've seen stuff from Europe that I've found hard to compare to other games, like Rogue Squadron, released as a flagship title at the beginning of the Gamecube's life, was very impressive (in its own time).

You do know that Factor 5 moved to San Rafael, California in 1994, right? And they utilized the GC's TEV unit which few developers ever did (Capcom being another 3rd party that did).
