Forums - Sony - MEG : Killzone 2 Controls are much more responsive in retail copy

Well, the "control lag" is fixed. I dunno, I'd never actually noticed it, but if it stops people whining, great.

Way ahead of you. Already posted the link on his wall. But there's still that thing about the "dead zone", whatever the hell that might be.

My suggestion for that is to not be critical about it and to not put the sensitivity at max.

A higher sensitivity is fine (around 60-70%), but go too high and it'll feel like you're over or undershooting things while aiming.

What the hell is that "dead zone"?

GG said it was a demo only problem a week or so ago, and have since said the final copy is the same as the demo.

To be honest I don't really care, I may rent it during a dry period of games and see what the multiplayer is like, possibly buying it.  I've cancelled my pre-order for now though.   Hope people enjoy it.  I sadly can't.

p.s  It is nothing like Battlefield.

GG said they were leaning towards the thought that it was a demo only problem.  I think they were having difficulty reproducing the "issue" on their end.  GG official response is the single player campaign is meant to be a tactical shooter experience and the controls are intended to enhance that experience.  They have also stated the animations and controls were optimized in the MP to make the game play like a traditional twitch shooter.  If they accomplished both of these design goals, I will be extremely pleased.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
