PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

first off Sony revolutionized the gaming industry. without them video games would still b classified as a childs hobby.

Sony has the strongest 1st party, with over 20 studios. Nintendo doesnt innovate anything, besides wii controls. they have been churning out the same game series since the dawn of time.

Sony's systems usually push the envelope. with every iteration they move to more advanced hardware and software. Sony's systems are also very reliable. the ps1 was FLAWLESS no recalls or anything. mines still works. PS2 had issues but still not that big, the slim was perfect. PS3 is the most sturdy piece of hardware ever. Sony's hardware is just a little less reliable then nintendo's but still great.

Playstation brand may be exspensive but ur usually getting ur money's worth with the best value. Sony also doesnt hit u with outrageous undelining fees(XBOX LIVE, 360 peripherals like batteries and hdd, nintendo wii add ons out the ass.).

Are you just going to totally deny the quality of games like GoW, SotC, Wipeout, and Gran Turismo? If so there's no reason to have such a one sided and pointless debate.

Those games totally blow imo. I own more ps2 games than for any other system, but I do not own a single 1st party game. Games are what made the ps2 great, nothing else.

wow...you sound just like that PR guy..."best value" lol If you are buying a 360 arcade/Wii it is because you DON'T care about all that bs that sony is trying to shove down your throat. *coughs*bluray*cough*

@warmachine

u as a singulary consumer have no say in the matter of bluray's success. when(not if but WHEN) BD is standard for everything what will u say then? was that really sony shoveling proprietary dribble down your throat? or was it sony simply preparing you for the future to come?

one thing is certain. your futile "resistance" of the format will make you look rather foolish.

Because unlike what the OP says [where the fuck do you gett your info on SONY???], their first party content is the best around IMO.

Uncharted
inFamous
White Knight Chronicles
Resistance
Little Big Planet
The Last Guy
Lair
Heavenly Sword
Gangs of London
Folklore
flOw
Echochrome
Pixel Junk
flOwer
Demon's Souls

Are all new series brought in by SONY themselves this Gen alone

As for bringing something new to the table and loving Nintendo.... I really wanna know how much longer will we sit through Mario, Zelda, and Metroid games.... What's new?? The Wii series?? If so then I'm not interested...

EDIT: I'd also like to add that I loved quite a few of the Movies brought to us by SONY Pictures. I also think that Blu-Ray's are pure win.

You can't deny that the world was not ready for a new format. There is nothing wrong with DVD. With the economy the way it is right now it just wasn't the right time. As for my "resistance", I think it's foolish to buy movies that cost twice as much that look just a little better. Also, let's assume I had a bd player, I still have 6 other things that play dvds all over the house. Why would I pay more for something I can only watch in one location?

BD killed the ps3. Admit it, the ps3 would be second place if it hadn't had including bluray with the system.

I don´t 'love' them, as I don´t 'love' Nintendo either.

I just happen to enjoy Sony´s and Nintendo´s 1st/2nd party titles a lot, but it stops there, they provide me fun while I pay them for it, it´s merely a transaction, nothing to really 'love' about that.

My first console was a Sony console. Every console I have ever owned, other than the Gameboy colour, is a Sony console. I have never seen better games on a console than on the PS2.

Who cares if they're first party or third party? The point is that they were there. However Sony did it, it got those games, and got them exclusively. It paid to do that.

How the hell is the first party offering not good?

-Team ICO: ICO, Shadow of the Colossus
-Naughty Dog: Crash (back when it was good), Jak, Uncharted
-Insomniac: Ratchet and Clank, Resistance
-Santa Monica: God of War
-Sony Bend: Syphon Filter
-Guerilla: Killzone

Not only the "gaming gods, who can do no wrong", Nintendo, can create a first party game, you know.

Nintendo pretty much had a tyranny when Sony came along. The N64 and PS1 were about equal in my eyes, but for whatever reason, Sony won. I don't know why people think Sony killed the Sega, Sega's consoles weren't exactly strong. They always finished behind Nintendo.

Then Nintendo got complacent, and released that atrocious GameCube. The PS2 was better in just about every way, it deserved to win that generation, because it had what was important: incredible games. Whether first party or third party, exclusive or multiplat, they were there.

No Sony console has ever failed on me, never have I been unhappy with my purchase of a Sony console. Sure, they don't "innovate", but innovation is overrated.

THAT is why I like Sony.

Sony made me a gamer. So it's like my first love.

First console/company love with videogames is an interesting one.  I guess that would be like myself and Atari from awhile ago. I stopped being just one company the moment I bought a Commodore 64 when I used to have an Atari 800 XL, so I could get games.

I am curious how many people years from now will have Sony stuff in their avatar.
