i want affordable gaming, the pricing on these systems is just gonna go higher and higher, just give me a new Mario platformer every couple of years and i will be happy, i hope Nintendo keeps going the way they are now, the other 2 need to get a clue!!!

I'd like to have (and what I wish nintendo had done) is xbox/ps3 level of graphics capability with the innovative capabilities of the Wii Control.  I think all the gaming platforms have merits to some degree but they don't meet everyone's needs.  I'm a big fan of gameplay over graphics but after having played a number of the 360's graphical flagship titles, I have to admit that looking at Wii and PS2 screens is quite painful.  Honestly, though, the PS3 and 360 have reached a level of graphical quality at this point that I don't need any more quantum leaps in technology.

I would also like to see the Wii type controls refined with a higher quality level of gyroscopes/accelerometers in combination with the IR sensor so that a higher quality depth of field and refinement are possible.  It would also be cool if the Wiimote acted both as an IR type device and also had the circuitry to behave as a light gun so that "blaster" like peripherals more more of a "shoot where you are pointing" rather than relative to the sensor bar.

Nah, I  don't want it all.  Just most of it.

I'm going to go the "boring" route and say I just want good games. This includes new ways to play games. Graphics always have and always will come second to gameplay.

For next gen? Maybe a Wii with better graphics and improved motion control.

I just want a normal controller. I'd rather pay 1,000 for a normal controller then 100 for a console with the wii-mote. I don't care about the graphics or anything. just give me a normal controller that doesn't screw up good games.

I want it to go in a Nintendo direction. After playing RE4 with the wiimote instead of a regular analog stick, I'm sold. It works really well. I'd also rather have an inexpensive console that doesn't try to emphasize graphics/media/new technology over gameplay.

Seeing the gfx quality in the announced ps3/x360 games, i would like a Wii2 with those graohics quaity or slightly better, improved accelerometers and addition of the pointing ability on the nunchuck. Also, addition of the balance board in the package would also be cool, the possible control schemes would just be mindblowing (imagine a 2 gun FPS gameplay while flying on the gravity board similar to that form back of the future :) )

Oh, so you mean you want games like TP, MP3, SMG, and SSBB? Thought so. Stop generalizing all of Nintendo games are short, mindless party games that lack maturity. You're completely off in doing so; heck, they're not even the majority of first party games on the Wii.

On Topic: I think power and innovation are both equally important next generation. Power isn't only for graphics. I hope to see better AI, faster frame rates (okay, graphics related, but not exactly graphics), and a presentation that makes the characters and environments feel alive. At the same time, I want more immersive play that puts me in the game.

PS4 won't be out for 7 years from the PS3 launch, and i would expect atleast 6 year lifespan for 360/wii. But if xbox makes the 720 i would expect Nintendo to come out with another console in that year, since the wii is so far behind the 360/PS3 as it stands now.

The next xbox and PS4 should come out at $500 US max, maybe even $400 depending on how cheap stuff is.

I want a slightly upgraded Wii that supports HD (Maybe a 2ghz dual core version of the current cpu with an upgraded vid gpu) A minimum of 512 megs of ram and I want the disc based media to die a horrible death. I want the return of cartridge based media. The DS has 256 and 512 meg carts coming out next year, in 2009 we should expect a 1 gigabyte cart. By 2012 when the next Nintendo console hits, 8 gigabyte carts should cost nothing to manufacture. I want the fast access times, the small size and the durability that only carts offer. I also want to see the motion sensing bumped up a few notches and something else new that we've never seen before. I want games to continue to expand and change, I don't want the small bump we saw going to HD to be the big thing for the next new systems.
