I'm not that far into the game Soriku, lol. I still go back to Vesperia a lot.

Savage Wolf Fury is the 4th coolest Mystic Arte in Vesperia. I like Yuri's Burst Artes more than his Mystic Arte tbh. Nothing tops Alexei's MA.

Unlikely. Rita can easily do a 999hit combo.

Haven't played ToS2, so I cannot comment on Emil but.....

Yuri is cool because:

  • His accessories are cool
  • He makes fun of other party members in some humorous ways...Especially pretending to be Karol's VA, and using a very funny effimate voice.
  • When Ragou walks away from Dhangrest, and back to doing evil...Yuri walks up to him and murders him vigilante-style, and throws 'em in a river. Hardcore.
  • He hates almost everyone. 

Probably a lot more...I'm only 25-26hrs into it. May play it a lil more tonight.

Round 1! Ready! Fight!

Character Design -

Yuri - Yuri's design is dark, it reflects his personality well. Although I can't help but feel although it feels almost bland. He's 21, although he looks very young for his age. With long brown hair, I can't help but get a feminist quality from him well. But I'm sure it makes him popular with the ladies. Yuri also wields a katana, a very standard weapon although he doesn't carry it on his body at all, instead opting to keep it tied close to his hands at all time.

Emil - Emil's Design is colorful, with many shades of blue, gold and yellow. Although he lacks the feminist quality that is given to yuri due to his hair. One must wonder what's with his shirt? The scarf also leaves me questioning, but also gives me a sigh of relief as it does serve as a "cape" or so design. Which is a plus in my book. Emil's weapon is a unique sword of sword. Wielded both backhand and forward it has a interesting handle and thus earns a point.

Winner - Emil, With bright color designs and a unique handle on his weapon. Emil's upper-body fashion can be forgiven. If only barely.

Make sure you do the poker game, this is a great way to make money...for those expensive hot spring scenes ;)

Also, hit up the fel weapons, they are unlocked at the final boss if you have done everything that is needed. If you have been using Yuri for most of the fight he becomes immediatly broken with this weapon. The others, well, train the weapons up with the 100 man melee.

And Yuri does not hate almost everyone, he just hides his emotions. Notice how well Flynn knows him and comments on this.
