Character Design -
Yuri - Yuri's design is dark, it reflects his personality well. Although I can't help but feel although it feels almost bland. He's 21, although he looks very young for his age. With long brown hair, I can't help but get a feminist quality from him well. But I'm sure it makes him popular with the ladies. Yuri also wields a katana, a very standard weapon although he doesn't carry it on his body at all, instead opting to keep it tied close to his hands at all time.
Emil - Emil's Design is colorful, with many shades of blue, gold and yellow. Although he lacks the feminist quality that is given to yuri due to his hair. One must wonder what's with his shirt? The scarf also leaves me questioning, but also gives me a sigh of relief as it does serve as a "cape" or so design. Which is a plus in my book. Emil's weapon is a unique sword of sword. Wielded both backhand and forward it has a interesting handle and thus earns a point.
Winner - Emil, With bright color designs and a unique handle on his weapon. Emil's upper-body fashion can be forgiven. If only barely.
